A journalist left the President of Nigeria Bola Ahmed Tinubu amused after rephrasing his own words during a chat. Tinubu was speaking at the Africa CEO Forum 2026 in Kigali, Rwanda, when he moved his microphone away from his mouth, causing his words to be inaudible. He said: “For me, Africa needs to put its money where its mouth is.” The journalist then told Tinubu: “Could you put your microphone where your mouth is?” Tinubu did as she asked, then laughed upon realising what she had done.
