Manchester United defender, Harry Maguire is set to get one-match ban, ruling him out of the big clash against Chelsea with the Football Association upholding his misconduct charge for swearing at a fourth official. The England international was sent off at Bournemouth last month and missed Monday’s defeat by Leeds United through suspension, but now faces a further one-match ban. The FA’s charge against Maguire, released earlier this month, said: ‘It is alleged that the defender acted in an improper manner and/or abusive and/or insulting words and/or behaviour towards the fourth official following his dismissal.’That is understood to be swearing at fourth official Matt Donohue. His absence is poorly timed for United, with Lisandro Martinez facing a three-match ban for violent conduct after being sent off against Leeds for pulling Dominic Calvert-Lewins ponytail. United, in third, are seven points clear of Chelsea, who are sixth, outside the five Champions League positions. The post Manchester United star Harry Maguire hit with additional ban for swearing at refs appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
