FC Midtjylland midfielder Alamara Djabi is in a stable condition after undergoing lifesaving surgery following a stabbing incident in Denmark.The 19-year-old was seriously injured in an attack in the city of Herning at around 3:30am on Sunday, April 19. He required two operations and was initially placed in an induced coma, but has since regained consciousness.In a statement, the club said: Alamara Djabi was seriously injured in a stabbing and is now in stable condition after two operations. He has woken up from an induced coma and is doing well under the circumstances. FC Midtjylland is in close dialogue and collaboration with the authorities and supports him and his family.Out of respect for the polices ongoing investigation, including witness interviews and investigations, we have no further comments. We ask for the publics understanding and call for respect for the privacy of Alamara Djabi and his loved ones in this difficult situation.Alamara Djabi has not been selected for the first team for a long time and was not in the game for the upcoming matches. Our thoughts are with our teammate, his family and friends, and we wish him continued recovery.Danish police said they are searching for a suspect described as a 20-year-old man with fair skin and short dark hair in connection with the incident.Djabi joined FC Midtjylland last summer and has featured in Europa League qualifying matches this season.
