Ahead of the 2027 political landscape, entertainer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington, has publicly kicked against the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. In a recently shared video, the singer asserted that the administration has failed in its duties to the populace, citing severe economic mismanagement. Darlington further remarked that a second term under the incumbent government would be “hell fire” for Nigerians. He saidYou are here breaking your neck to become the next President of Nigeria but you are not qualified to be President again. You entered office, the first thing you did is to remove subsidy, knowing very well that every thing about Nigerian life is attached to petroleum. My fellow Igbo people and Hausas and Yorubas and other tribes in-between, they pray, begging God to give them excuse to raise price and then you gave them reason, 1000% reason to raise price.
