Kim Kardashian turned heads at the 2026 Met Gala in an orange breastplate leotard with a story behind it. The 2026 Met Gala theme is Costume Art, with the dress code Fashion Is Art. For her 13th Met, Kardashian and her creative director, Nadia Lee Cohen, tapped Jones to help her embody the Fashion Is Art dress code. The look she chose is a custom Allen Jones and Whitaker Malem. Jones is a legendary British pop artist. In the Vogue livestream, Kardashian revealed why she chose this look, saying: One of my favorite artists, Allen Jones. We took his body plates that he started making in the 60s. This is actually a mold from a model in the 60s we all worked together. I have seen his work referenced so many times by people in fashion, and Ive always been a big admirer of his work, Kardashian added. So when it came time to decide on her Met look, Kardashian declared, Allen Jones would be iconic: Sexy. Classic. Cool. Innovative. For Kardashians tangerine fiberglass breastplate, Jones repurposed a cast from 1967 or 1968. See more photos below.
